Lone Star Builders, established in 2018, has grown into a trusted name in steel frame construction. Originally focused on construction services, the company recognized the need for a more comprehensive approach and expanded into steel building sales, providing customers with a seamless experience from design to completion.
With the addition of a new partner, Lone Star Builders is set for significant growth, bringing increased expertise and resources to handle larger projects and expand into new markets. Despite its growth, the company remains committed to delivering high-quality, durable steel structures while upholding the innovation and craftsmanship that have defined its success.

David Kramer & Family
- Owner & Partner
David’s journey in construction began in Texas, where he started building gas station canopies right after high school. His dedication and quality work quickly earned him the position of lead man. Seeking greater challenges, he moved to Missouri, where he led the construction of barns across the Midwest. Facing unexpected challenges in the industry, he pivoted to steel frame buildings, using his experience to help his company thrive.
In 2018, driven by the desire to create a legacy and with the support of his wife, David founded Lone Star Builders. His commitment to quality craftsmanship helped him build a strong reputation, resulting in satisfied customers nationwide. Throughout his success, David valued his family, enjoying time with his wife and four children.
Outside of work, he cherished family moments on their farm and at ballgames, reminding him of why he worked so diligently. As Lone Star Builders grew, David became an inspiration in his community, emphasizing the importance of hard work, family, and dreams. With optimism for the future, he acknowledged that his journey had just begun, with many more stories left to tell.
Richard Kauffman & Family

Richard’s journey in construction began as a teenager, starting with reroofing houses before moving on to framing high-end homes. His experience expanded over the years, working on larger commercial projects and overseeing turnkey operations—from site preparation and concrete work to the final touches before move-in.
At one point, Richard transitioned to the manufacturing side of construction products, gaining even more insight into the industry. However, his true passion has always been customer satisfaction. He loves taking a client’s dream and transforming it into a reality, all while ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience throughout the process.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, as well as hunting and fishing. His commitment to excellence in both his professional and personal life is what drives him every day.
